The role is within Gecko Programmes Ltd, a company focused on delivering business and skills development services to the creative and knowledge-based industries. The role requires frequent travel across the West Midlands, visiting enterprises with whom we engage with knowledge and skills development programmes
Gecko currently holds SFA and DWP sub-contracts to deliver transformational interventions to companies, skills interventions to employees, and skills and mentoring packages to people at risk of redundancy or recently made redundant.
Gecko holds EU ErasmusPlus contracts, working with seven FE colleges in the Birmingham and Black Country conurbation, to send vocational programme completers to Europe for work placements
Gecko also holds curriculum development contracts, working with European partners to enhance our curriculum offer and to support transition from education to the world of work.
Gecko is working to support companies in the West Midlands to grow and transform, and to support people to find sustainable employment and develop their careers.
This role is to operate with the SFA’s "Skills Support for the Workforce" contract in the Black Country (Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley). The purpose is to engage with companies in this geographical area, and through a process of conducting Organisational Training Needs Analysis (OTNA), gain commitment from companies to transform their way of working by developing their staff and systems.
With this contract, Gecko works with Business Services across the Black Country (businesses that sell their services to other businesses), the creative and cultural sector in Wolverhampton, and the Visitor Economy in Dudley.
The training offered by Gecko is free of charge to the company, and may be certificated (Regulated) or bespoke to the company’s needs (Non-regulated).

Curriculum and Quality Manager
Learning Plan Assessor
Research Black Country companies, building and maintaining a database.
Contact companies to arrangement appointments
Conduct OTNAs with companies
Gather data to verify the existence of the company
Ensure that contractual requirements are met, with documentation being completed fully and in a timely manner.
Maintaining a transparent pipeline of planned and completed appointments and interviews, progressing to referrals to the Learning Team.
Contributing to successful delivery of this contract through teamwork and communications.
Contributing to quality improvements to the service through a cycle of self-assessment and improvement planning.
To develop and implement this project and services (and others that may result from planned growth) within the allocated resource constraints, produce the contracted results, and collect and collate the required evidence.
Commercially astute and able to present with confidence, the ideal candidate will have excellent planning and written communication skills and be able to work dynamically with all stakeholders and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which you will use to form relationships with employers and the Gecko team of assessors and trainers.
