Barker Munro recruitment, the Kent based Insurance recruitment specialists, are currently working with a growing name in the insurance market who are currently looking to add an Account Manager to their operation in Kent.
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing administrative and relationship support to manage both new and existing clients and ensuring they receive the service and support required. You will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients and brokers whilst delivering excellent customer service. The clients and brokers demand an excellent service and the expectation is that you will be able to provide them with detailed knowledge of new and existing products that are on offer to them. There will be times that you will need to work with the underwriters or maybe prepare renewal presentations or maybe spend time with the senior management to identify new business opportunities or even produce marketing literature and website content to support marketing campaigns…..the opportunities are endless!
What do you need to be considered for the role of Account Manager? Well, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Also, the ability to be confident in delivering a close working relationship with all internal and external bodies in a professional manner. What else…..a positive nature and attitude goes a long way!
Do you need to have worked in Insurance? It would help, but not essentially. What is highly desirable is your ability to spot potential opportunities whilst delivering and providing administrative and relationship support to clients.
