Swiis are seeking to recruit a Payments Officer for our South West Fostering Service based in Bristol. The role is full time permanent, with annual salary of £22,000.00 - £24,000.00 per annum
The ideal candidate will be working as part of the Central Placements Team and will be responsible for the undertaking of all weekly payments to Foster Carers and associated billing to Local Authorities for all fostering placements. Ensuring accuracy and exceptional customer service at all time. Utilising the CHARMS Pay platform, the successful candidate will be responsible for the set-up of new fostering placements in CHARMS Pay, ensuring at all times the correct contract/framework is used and the associated pay and charge are applied.
This position would suit an experienced professional, with a background of working in a Children and Families environment or knowledge of fostering services would be desirable. A confident and articulate telephone manner with the capability to use own initiative and work under pressure is essential, as are exceptional communication skills.
The role is full time, permanent, with office hours covering 09:00 - 17:00; however, flexibility with working hours will on occasion be required.

Payments Officer Essential requirements
- At least 2 years’ payroll processing experience
- Excellent administrative skills
- Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
- Excellent customer service skills
Payments Officer desirable requirements
- Experience in weekly payroll processing within a fostering service.
