Salary: Up to £32,000 with car allowance and with the additional benefits below

Job Description:

We are delighted to be recruiting for a reputable healthcare organisation specialising in caring for individuals with learning disabilities. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Peripatetic Home Manager to operate regionally helping to run some of their established and well-run homes. The care homes provide high-quality, personalised residential care for adults with learning, particularly Autism, who can display challenging behaviours. The home offers the highest standard of care and the existing friendly team work hard to provide a homely environment in which residents can feel comfortable and gain some independence.

As the peripatetic Manager, you will be responsible for assisting management of multiple homes looking after the day-to-day running of individual homes and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. You will be required to lead and motivate your team of staff to ensure that the highest possible standards of care are provided for the residents, and that the residents' needs are of the utmost importance. You will ensure that CQC guidelines are adhered to and will also be involved in budgeting, recruitment, appraisals, supervisions, training and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. You will take a proactive approach to managing the home, striving to improve standards and taking action where needed.

This role is regional position working in the Kent area; ideally candidates will be located in the Maidstone, Rochester, Aylesford, Rainham, Sittingbourne area.

Person Specification

We are looking for an experienced, committed, flexible and friendly individual to fill this position. You must have a QCF / NVQ4 in Management in Care, Registered Managers Award or NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification. You must have experience as a Home Manager in a similar setting, working knowledge of National Minimum Standards, and be able to show evidence of professional development. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to deliver a quality service to individuals with learning disabilities.
