An exciting opportunity has arisen with our dynamic customer for a Product Specialist to join a successful and expanding team here in Cardiff. Our customer is a rapidly growing company with an award-winning range of products, solutions and services within the IT / Technology sector. They have enjoyed great success in growing their business both here in the UK and across International markets.
Having recently won significant awards for their software products and solutions, the organisation is seeking a Product Specialist to assist the Technical Director and Technical Architect with future development direction and client delivery.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Product Specialist will be responsible for taking a leading role in the future direction of their products and helping to deliver the existing products to their clients. The role has a wide remit and may offer the opportunity to work with their teams internationally should this be of interest. The aim of the role is to ensure that the customer deliver not only a quality solution, but also the relevant quality of service to surround their product.
Being part of a rapidly growing team with an ambitious remit for the future, this opportunity is viewed as a key step in a growing area of the business within a team that is likely to expand with potential for a team of Product Specialists to arise from this first appointment. The successful applicant will touch on many areas of the business, working with the Sales team as well as being involved in QA and specification for new innovations and client requests. Working with the visions of the Technical Director and the Technical Architect, you will help to define the advancement and innovation for this award-winning software product to grow further within the international market.
The primary tasks and responsibilities of this exciting new position are anticipated to be:
*to assist the Sales team with bids and configuration.
- work with the Solutions Team and Technical Architect to identify the best delivery path.
- work with product designers to represent the user journey.
- work with the Technical Director and Technical Architect to brainstorm best directions for functionality.
*you will be responsible for training users in the system.
*you will be responsible for ensuring user guides are up to date and well written. Experience of writing such documentation is a must.
*you will work with the Delivery Manager to ensure that Project Managers use relevant documentation to ensure delivery of the product is clearly defined (e.g. standard process maps, role management matrices).
*you will help clients with understanding and queries to ensure we achieve the solution the client may be looking for.
*working with Marketing to ensure online support and FAQ’s are relevant as well as suggestions for case studies or client news stories.
*working with the Solutions Team to assist with advice and guidance on complex support matters on functionality matters.
*providing Quality Assurance checks on solutions and system functionality.
To prove successful within this fantastic new opportunity, we anticipate that the successful candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*the customer's products are highly configurable software applications. As such, you will need to be a fast learner who will quickly become proficient in the system's functions and have an understanding of how these will meet, or potentially be adapted to, client requirements.
*experience delivering training for software applications is a must.
*ability to anticipate areas of difficulty and / or questions and adapt training to meet the needs of clients.
*ability to effectively communicate technical information in non-technical terms.
*experience of creating and maintaining documentation for end users (internal and external end users).
*ability to communicate professionally and efficiently.
*advanced knowledge of Internet Explorer and using web-based applications.
*advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
*experience of working within an Agile environment.
*proven results-oriented person with a focus on delivery.
