A Nursery Manager job in Bath to work in a 58 place private day nursery.
Your new company
The nursery is located in a residential area that is close to Bath City Centre, which means it is ideal for parents that work in the centre of Bath. The nursery cares for up to 58 children age 6 months-5 years in their open planned setting that operates across one floor; this allows children to interact with the different age groups. The nursery has a large garden area which is free flowing throughout certain parts of the day. The nursery is currently seeking a new manger after the long serving manager has stepped down to take on an alternative position within the setting.
Your new role
You will manage the day to day running of the nursery, which will include the financial operations. You will be a manage the nursery to ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development. You will recruit, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure high quality childcare practise and to continually develop staff teams and individual practitioners. Part of the role will be to ensure that all legislation in relation to Ofsted registration, special needs, child protection and Health and Safety are complied with and that the company policies and procedures are adhered to.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need a Level 3 qualification; ideally you will hold a higher qualification. You will need to have a minimum of 2 years successfully managing a nursery. You need to be an enthusiastic, upbeat person and to ensure you are a role model to the staff at all times. If you are shortlisted you will be invited in for an interview with two of the directors and have an opportunity to spend some time in the nursery.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered a salary of up to £27,300 and have the opportunity to earn an extra £1500 in bonus' each year. As a manager if you have your own children at nursery age you will receive 50% off of childcare costs and receive a generous holiday allowance scheme.
