A leading nationwide manufacturer experiencing excellent growth is seeking to recruit a field based Regional Sales Manager to join their successful team. You will be responsible for developing and organising sales activities in Bristol/South West area in order to develop the existing customer base, as well as identifying new business opportunities. Reporting to the Regional Manager your main responsibilities will include:

  • Review customer accounts and build strong relationships with existing customers
  • Generate new leads where possible
  • Plan and implement sales and development strategies within your region
  • Record customer activity using the company’s bespoke system
  • Carry out activities relating to branch profitability this includes sales, operations and stock control
  • Monitor and review discounts offered
  • Prepare quotations
  • Liaise with senior management regarding branch customer activities
  • Train branch staff in relation to offering a standard of excellence
  • Overseeing branch staff targets
  • Completing monthly sales reports
  • Developing promotional plans
  • Maintain a good knowledge of company products

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience working within a field based business development role
  • Commercial awareness
  • Good understanding of profit margins, margin improvement and opportunities
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience in the construction industry is essential
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
