Ethiopiaid is based in central Bath and generates income to fund partner organisations in Ethiopia, primarily in Addis Ababa and the surrounding area.
We support projects ranging from maternal health, FGM and women's rights, to education, disability and the elderly. It is our aim to see an Ethiopia without preventable poverty, in which every person enjoys the right to quality education, healthcare and a life of dignity.
In 2016 our income reached in excess of £2.5m and we are developing plans to grow and diversify our income in the coming years. It is an exciting time to be joining Ethiopiaid as we look to the future.
Outline and Purpose of Role
You will work closely with Ethiopiaid’s small team of 4 to ensure that all financial information from income streams, existing and new, are recorded appropriately and effectively. You will be responsible for making sure that our financial processes run smoothly and support the team to ensure donor records are accurate and supporters are thanked properly.
To be successful you will have strong finance administration skills, enjoy working with data and numbers, and have an eye for detail. Experience of working with SAGE is required.
The successful post holder will need to have the ability to take the initiative. This is a great opportunity to make the role your own and have an immediate impact in the team.
The role is a one year contract with the potential to be extended. The working hours are 20 hours per week and although normal office hours are between 9am and 5pm we will consider flexible working for the right candidate.
