Job Title Planning and Procurement Officer

Reporting in to the Group Leader

Location Coventry

Salary Up to £30K per annum

The Role

Key Objectives

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with all suppliers and clients

  • At all-times ensure that data integrity is maintained throughout system-planning and purchasing parameters

  • Implementing all ERP system recommendations for procurement and production plans

  • Ensuring effective and smart procuring methods are applied to ensure the continual improvement is achieved for the ORDER FULFILMENT process

  • Must have the ability to make important business decisions whilst ensuring that the companies organisational structure, processes and procedures are always followed

  • Provide support as and when required to the group leaders including the short and medium-term capacity planning

  • Ensure that all scheduled tasks relating to both the planning and procurement functions within the Syteline ERP are completed correctly and on time

  • Provide support to the business to ensure adherence to ISO TS16949 quality management requirements

  • Drive and support the reduction of customer arrears whilst improving the internal job order completion levels

  • Provide support to the business in adhering to all Health & Safety and environmental policies

The Candidate

  • Machining or manufacturing background

  • Competent with MRP/ERP systems

  • Procurement and Planning experience desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 9001/TS16949

  • Experience in using problem solving systems and tools

  • Knowledge in lean manufacturing principles
