Job Title: Industry Analyst
Contract:Permanent, Full-Time
Hours:9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
Salary:£18,000 per annum
Location:Outskirts of Coventry


Working on behalf of our prestigious client located on the outskirts of Coventry, we are currently recruiting a person of graduate calibre with Economics/Statistics training to take on the role of Industry Analyst/Economist. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the companies market data services to members.

Key Duties:
*Administer and enhance existing company market data programmes
Monthly Sales Indicators
Annual Remuneration Survey
Annual Key Performance Indicators Survey
*Liaise with company's' third party market data service provider
*Research the company's' industry i.e. new development which may potentially affect company members
*Conduct key industry quarterly trade surveys and other sector specific surveys
*Develop sector sales forecasting model and market sector report
*Produce monthly Business E-News for members and weekly Economic Bulletins
*Analyse and prepare market size/share information
*Help prepare in depth analysis of specific company trading areas
*Work with Company IT and Membership Manager to develop the Membership IT system's comprehensive analysis of memberships records

Key Skills/Experience Required:
*You will have a good Economic or Statistics degree or similar academic training
*Experience in data analysis and some experience of setting up data analysis and usage processes
*A good grasp of statistical techniques such as formulating statistical models and regression analysis. Other statistical techniques would be advantageous
*Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential
*Fully competent in all Microsoft Office applications
*A competent and methodical organiser and administrator, able to plan own workload priorities
*Good English literacy, communication and presentation skills
*Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and be willing to be flexible and help in a small team
*Proficiency in statistical software's such as Stata, Eview of SPSS would be desirable
*Have an insight into the construction industry (desirable not essential)
