Our client, a small multi academy Trust in Kent, is seeking an efficient and experienced Finance Assistant to join their team. Due to a department restructure, there is now an urgent requirement to fill this post. Reporting to the Senior Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring the processing of payments adhere to school procedures. You will arrange and negotiate supplies on behalf of the Trust, resolve supplier queries, maintain the Trusts payments system for cheques and BACS payments and provide monthly creditor reports for the Management Accountant.
Ad hoc duties will be required such as assisting with the sales ledger and supporting at year end. The successful candidate will be AAT Qualified or studying towards this qualification, is a team player with a "can do" attitude. Knowledge of PS Financials is highly desirable and a good working knowledge of Excel is essential.
