Senior Payroll Officer
CER are proud to be working in partnership with this small yet well supported multi academy trust. Due to succession planning, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll Officer who will line manage 5 finance staff. Reporting to the Management Accountant, the role will involve managing the Trust payroll function for four schools, ensuring accurate salary payments are made, reconciling monthly control accounts and monthly returns are sent to HMRC. Administer Teacher Pension Schemes and deputising for the Management Accountant on an ad hoc basis, overseeing the sales and purchase ledger function. Knowledge of Sage Line 50 is highly desirable and a good working knowledge of Excel is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a school payroll function though candidates from commerce will be considered.
