A primary PRU for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties are looking for a primary SEMHD teacher to start in September. As a Primary SEMHD Teacher, you will be required to teach across the curriculum and be able to plan engaging sessions that accommodate all student's needs. Primary SEMHD teachers should be able to deploy support staff effectively and have experience supporting students with a range of Special Needs.

The ideal Primary SEN teacher:

* Has strong subject knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
* Has QTS
* Can use a range of behaviour management techniques
* Has experience teaching to children with SEMHD, either in Special needs school or a PRU setting

This is a PRU that caters for students from aged 5-14 who have been excluded from mainstream school with the aim to provide them with the academic and social skills to manage on a daily basis. They do this by supporting the child and family through specialist support and mechanisms and also liaising with therapists such as Speech and Language and Drama. The senior leadership team encourage all teachers to provide hands on and collaborative lessons that meet each students unique needs.
