A well-established multi sited leisure business with over 150 units across the UK is seeking a Purchase Ledger Supervisor based in Milton Keynes to join its expanding team. You will receive many benefits such as a pension, study support and a bonus.

The company is owned by a German International business that trades in more than 40 companies. Reporting into the Financial Controller this role is diverse and interesting. You will be liaising across all areas of the business, be responsible for process improvement with the implementation of SAP and leading your team through this period of transition.

As the Purchase Ledger Supervisor, your duties will be to:

• Ensure all 3rd party payments are made in a timely manner in line with agreed timetable and deadlines
• Reconcile and account for all payment related transactions, using balance sheet reconciliations and appropriate systems like SAP
• Produce accounting and functional key performance indicators to monitor the departments efficiency including analysis and commentary on results
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries of relevant information for all payments
• Liaise with all 3rd parties in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain supplier confidence and protects the business by keeping information confidential
• Review payment processes and practices to develop them to be more efficient, using and developing the underlying systems to achieve this
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
• Set objectives and agree on Personal Development Plans for the team.

To be a successful Purchase Ledger Supervisor you will have the following skills and experience:

• IT skills - Excel, email, accounting systems, transaction processing.
• SAP experience is desirable
• Purchase Ledger experience
• Clear and effective communications skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong management skills and a professional approach including confidentiality and robust clear controls
• Clear and logical thinking with good organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines.

In return, the Purchase Ledger Supervisor will receive a salary of up to £32,000 per annum.
