This independent software company based in central Bristol is looking to recruit a Business Development Executive.

Salary: £18,000 - £25,000 + commission

Working as part of their busy Sales and Marketing team as a Business Development Executive you will be tasked with developing leads and opportunities via telemarketing, email, search and social media.

You will ensure data list information is accurate and up to date, begin conversations and discussions with stakeholders and decision makers at all levels and also source your own leads through proactive sector by sector research. You will also be required to efficiently and effectively manage their data through their own software.

Main Responsibilities are:
- To generate new leads and opportunities via telemarketing as well as LinkedIn research.
- To follow up marketing campaigns and events to generate prospect leads by telephone, identifying and qualifying opportunities for new business
- To interact with decision makers at all levels to identify new and emerging business opportunities via telephone as well as other channels;
- To efficiently progress existing opportunities with follow up calls/emails;
- To ensure leads are developed and qualified efficiently and to a high standard in line with lead generation targets;
- To research for new business, leads and opportunities using all available tools and services in order to identify and procure potential or new business clientele;

Outcomes of the Role include:
- Lead generation targets are met, generating high quality appointments which have been fully qualified and developed.
- Prospects regularly converted to opportunities and relationships maintained to a high standard through many techniques including attendance at events.
- All campaigns are followed up within the agreed time frame with aim of generating new prospect leads
- Increase in number of quality leads generated for the business development team visible in Marketing team KPIs and reports

Skills Required for the Role:
Essential:
- Excellent telephone manner, customer service and communication skills
- 1/2 years' experience in a similar role
- Good understanding of social media and search functionality, particularly LinkedIn
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to multiple teams keeping all stakeholders fully informed
- Strong questioning skills
- Good attention to detail and the ability to spot an opportunity
- Self-discipline and target driven
- Methodical and analytical approach
- Capacity to understand new information and technology
- Flexible attitude and able to multi-task
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Good IT skills, data entry experience is preferable

Desirable:
- Knowledge and understanding of the sales cycle
- Experience of working with a CRM system
