I am currently recruiting a Hospitality Assistant for a lovely friendly Care Home in Weston Super Mare.
This lovely Care Home is ran and operated like a top star rated hotel.

You will receive a salary of £13,923.

Hours of work are 30 hours a week working between the hours of 7.30am - 7.30pm Monday - Sunday
You will only work 5 days out of 7
You will be issued with a rota 2 weeks prior, and will be expected to work 2:4 weekends

The successful candidate will report to the Housekeeper for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the Break centre, including the operation of commercial laundry equipment.

Main Duties

" Keeping all areas of the Break Centre clean and tidy. This includes washing, dusting, polishing, vacuum cleaning and sweeping as appropriate.

" Ensuring that all cleaning equipment/materials are maintained in a safe, clean and efficient working condition. Where an item of equipment requires repair this should be reported to the housekeeper.Wear protective clothing in accordance with COSHH, Health and Hygiene regulations and Infection Control guidelines.

" Sorting washing, load and unload machines taking care to use correct temperatures depending on fabric types.

" Sluicing of linen where necessary, hand-washing as required.

" Ironing and pressing of staff clothing and hotel linen as necessary.

" Sorting and folding linen and putting away in the designated areas.

" Maintain a friendly contact with the guests.

" Assist with the implementation of guest activities when required.

" Escort guests on trips as required.

" Assist with craft classes as required.

" Assist with bingo, raffles and themed events.

" Participate in open days and fundraising activities

" To assist with food preparation, washing pots, pans and operating kitchen machinery within safe systems of work,
" Maintain kitchen records where necessary.
" Providing table service to guests when required.
" Clearing and setting of tables where appropriate.
" Carry out instructions of the Food and Beverage Supervisor.

Skills Required

Basic Food Hygiene training

Experience of working in a Hotel or similar environment

Moving & Handling training

Basic First Aid training

Willingness to provide in house entertainment/crafts/activities in a similar environment

Willingness to assist in food preparation to support the catering department

Understanding and awareness of vulnerable guests
