Network Engineer – CCIE, Wireless, Datacentre, R and S

CCIE Written and LAB required (R and S, Sec, DC), ISR, ASR, Cisco Wireless, Nexus, ASA, Security

-The role will suit a fairly newly qualified CCIE (R and S, Sec, DC) commutable to Central London who wants to attain certifications working in a fast paced, multi-client environment.

-The opportunity wil see you working as a project engineer across multi client, high value, highly interesting projects.

 

Responsibilities

Installation and support of new infrastructure and associated components. Ensure that any new equipment is installed to the established standards, documentation completed and a project handover to the BAU Team.
Responsible for system/software deployments and upgrades that impact telephony infrastructure and provide guidance on decisions relating to telephony developments.
Provide information to High Level Design document reviews.
Creation of Low Level Design documents and procedural guidelines.
Creation/enhancement of IT Policies and procedures used by the Network, DC, Sec, Wireless Team.
Produce documentation on new procedures, and review documentation held within document repository.
Provide assistance to less technical team members when required. This will involve dealing with incidents escalated by junior team members.

 

Experience

-Cisco enterprise networking technology and design

-Must hold a full CCIE (LAB and Written)

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco Catalyst switching technology and protocols

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco ISR/ASR routing platforms

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco Wireless technologies and wireless standards

-Knowledge of WAN technologies such as MPLS, VPLS and VPNs

-Experience with Cisco sales tools such as CCW and product promotions

 

The following technical skills are desirable: -

 

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco Nexus datacentre technology (including ACI)

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco UCS product range

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco Meraki technology

-Network management platforms such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure and Nagios

-Technical knowledge and design experience of Cisco security technologies and protocols
