My client is looking for an experienced, self-motivated and enthusiatic General Manager with a strong Food and Beverage background to lead this very grand venue on a permanent full time contract.

A Grade 1 listed building with great views from the hill over Whitby, this venue has a great advantage being close to nearby attraactions that are open all year round. It is very popular with visitors to local Whitby Abbey and so the cafe is often extremely busy to passing trade as well as hostel residences.

The team has had a real shake up recently and new employees have brought in from Deputy to daily team and activity leader so the General Manager who is successful in this post will need to bring stability, focus and leadership.

Who are we looking for?

- A customer service driven General Manager with a proven track record in hospitality management, in particular hotels or a similar conbination of rooms and Food and Beverage management

- A desire to develop and motivate others

- An ability to analyse monthly P and L with a focus on driving and increasing performance

- Experience in managing and delivering quality Food and Beverage operations

- Hospitality Management Qualifications an advantage

- General Manager experience of Hotels with 100+ rooms
