Band 5 Operating Department Practitioner
Permanent | Cambridge University Hospital | Salary of £22,000 - £29,000 per annum

Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated operating department practitioner to work in Cambridge. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £22,000 - £29,000 per annum.

Responsibilities of the operating department practitioner:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care given to patients during the perioperative period
- Undertake the role of scrub practitioner as a member of the multidisciplinary surgical team
- Participate as a circulating practitioner for surgical procedures including taking responsibility for safety checks in conjunction with the scrub practitioner
- Prepare surgical equipment before use and ensure the safe transfer of items onto the sterile field

Requirements of the operating department practitioner:
- HCPC/NMC registration
- Must have experience in a relevant role
- Recognised Anaesthetic course for nurses
