Purosearch are proud to be working with a well established not for profit organsiation who are offering an exclusive opportunity to join them as a deputy registered manager.

The Role:
To oversee the residential side of the specialist school site along with the registered Manager and take full responsibility in the abscence of the Registered Manager. This is a large site of 8 homes which each care for 6 boys aged 7-19 who display Behavioural, Emotional and Social Difficulties. Many have additional learning needs.

Key tasks will include:

In the absence of the Registered Manager to be responsible for all administrative and child care functions at the home.
To assist the Registered Manager to promote good child care practice within the homes.
To be directly involved in Case Conferences, Reviews and Planning Meetings.
To make decisions in accordance with Group, Line Manager and Ofsted's expectations for the homes.
To assist the Registered Manager in ensuring specific administrative tasks are performed accurately.

The successful candidate will hold an NVQ level 3 in children and young people. You will ideally have obtained Level 5 qualification or be working towards. You will have experience of working at a senior level with children in a Residential Child Care setting. You will also have experience of managing Ofsted inspections and implementing change in line with the Quality Standards 2015. You will be self-motivated with effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will have a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes.
