Due to continued growth, my client in Chester are seeking a Sales Executive to join their expanding Media Sales Team. The role will be focused on developing new business through active business development and following up on sales opportunities within the events industry. There will also be a focus on meeting clients face to face with some overseas travel involved. On offer is a basic salary of £23,000 to £29,000 with uncapped commission.

The main duties of a Business Development Executive are;

- To lead by example - as a Business Development Executive you be expected to be proactive, tenacious and determined to close sales
- Drive and develop new business through effective business development and prospecting
- Actively promote and sell opportunities to new and existing clients
- Build, manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Schedule and attend face to face meetings with potential clients. Due to the international nature of the company some overseas travel will may be required.
- Monitor competitor media and keep up to date with current industry news
- Manage and develop current client relationships to ensure maximum revenue
- Keep clients up to date of the latest opportunities
- Attend industry events and exhibitions to create new opportunities through networking and relationship building

To apply for the position you must;

- Have a minimum of two years B2B sales experience within event or media/print/online advertising
- Be a team player and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Have excellent written and verbal skills
- Be proactive, tenacious and determined to close sales
- Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Have a good level of IT skills
