Peter Smith is recruiting for a Technical Product Support Engineer to join a global company in the medical devices industry at their site based in Northampton on a permanent basis.

In the UK this group is one of the leading suppliers of medical products to the NHS, providing many of the products which provide the foundations of effective healthcare. The organisation is dedicated to ensuring patient safety through the highest level of quality products. The ideal candidate for this role will come from an electronics background, and have strong customer skills. In exchange for this experience the client is offering a salary of £19-21k.

The main purpose of this Technical Product Support Engineer role will be to:
-Provide technical quality services to customers
-Ensure SLA adherence, and that key contracts are met
-Take ownership of quality procedures.
-Support other colleagues when required, to help hit key targets
-Perform service activity on products.

Further responsibilities of the Technical Product Support Engineer job will include:
-Regular communication with key contacts both internal and external
-Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures.
-Tracking of calibrated equipment.
-Delivering technical training courses to customers

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Electrical qualification, such as an ONC or equivalent.
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Ability to interact with customers on a regular basis
-Analytical frame of mind.
