Peter Smith is recruiting for a Technical Support Workshop Engineer to join a company in the medical devices industry at their site based in Northampton on a permanent basis.

The organisation is dedicated to ensuring patient safety through the highest level of quality products. The ideal candidate will have experience in electronics, and can expect a salary of £19-21k in return.

The main purpose of this Workshop Engineer will be to
-Installation, inspection and maintenance of workshop products
-Establishing communication with team members, consumers, and commercial contacts
-Carrying out all activities in line with information within the quality system framework
-Ensure compliance with EMS elements

Further responsibilities of the Workshop Engineer will include:
-Ensure accurate and timely documentation
-Complying with Health and Safety policy.
-Working to local quality management system prerequisites

In order to be considered for this Technical Support Workshop Engineer role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in electronics (some specialisation in medical instruments, or electro-mechanics would be welcomed)
-Basic soldering skills
-Basic comprehension of ESD protection.
