If you are a Multi Skilled Service Engineer who has Engineering qualifications and an understanding of Hydraulic and Mechanical clutch assemblies, including the ability to read mechanical and hydraulic drawings, then this role could excite you... Do you enjoy working away? Visiting new places and getting your hands dirty?

We are looking for a Field Based Service Engineer to attend site breakdowns and carry out service repairs throughout the UK and abroad occasionally. The company specialises in heavy machinery and clay working machinery and offer a very generous package for the right individual.

The company provides leading specialisms in metalforming machinery and composite technologies. In addition to the designand manufacture of capital equipment, they deliver specialistspares and services for a range of advanced engineering applications.

The Role:

Working in a customer facing environment, demonstrate an articulate communication style and a positive, proactive approach to both reactive and planned preventative maintenance activities on a range of Large Metal Forming Machinery, mainly presses. Carry out service calls on a preventative and reactive basis at customer premises within the UK and occasionally Overseas.

You will ideally be located in the Midlands, Yorkshire or Manchester regions.

- £26,500 basic
- £300 bonus allowance per month

Further Job Responsibilities:

- Travelling extensively in the UK and abroad to install and commission new and refurbished presses.
- Be available at short notice to travel throughout the UK on breakdowns
- Assist in the building of new presses in the factory when not working out.
- Problem solving and fault finding on a variety of mechanical and hydraulic presses from pre-war to modern CNC controlled presses.
- Read and understand Hydraulic Drawings
- Carry out periodic service checks on customers` equipment.
- Safely working from cherry-pickers, scaffolding and other platforms in compliance with Working at Height Regulations (WAHR). (Training will be given).
- Safe use and disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with COSHH regulations
- Observe and comply with Health & Safety and security requirements at all times
- Responsible for the quality of the work produced and ensure that all relevant quality procedures are understood and adhered to
- Actively pursue continuous improvements in assembly methods and techniques and make recommendations for their implementation when appropriate
- Ensure that all equipment is adequately maintained and regularly checked
- Maintain tidiness in the workplace, company vehicles and good standards of housekeeping
- Take care of company measuring equipment and report on any items out of calibration
- Provide cover for other duties and offer assistance in other areas as requested by the manager or his representative
- Be willing to learn new duties outside the normal function
