Junior BMS Project Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an BMS Project Manager to join a growing team in delivering a range of various BMS projects within the South of England.
Our client prides themselves on the self-delivery of every aspect of Building Management System projects from design and manufacture of systems and panels through to installation and commissioning.
They are an established Trend Technology Centre who have experienced consistent growth so are looking for dynamic and proactive candidate to play a key role in continuing to maintain our outstanding industry reputation. Whilst Trend systems form a large part of their portfolio we are partnered with Cylon and other manufacturers in an effort to continuously diversify.
The Project Manager is expected to take ownership of projects ranging in value between £10k-£250k and should ensure that contracts are delivered on time, to budget and to client expectations.
The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities:
Take projects from a sales handover by forming an understanding of the quote, scope of works and specification.
Ensure standard documents are continually used and maintained.
Be responsible for health and safety management on all managed projects.
Regularly monitor, review, and report on the progress of projects progress, delays, and resourcing amendments to the company and customer.
Undertake quality checks and control of all installations and works.
Ensure all financial aspects of a contract are managed.
Maintain a strong personable working relationship with all clients
Ensure standard documents are continually used and maintained, including the programme of works, technical submittals, RFI’s, variation summaries as well as technical documents such as points lists, description of operations and panel drawings. Utilise and interact with project engineers where required.
Manage all labour required on the projects including electricians, commissioning engineers, panel designers and subcontractors.
• Proven experience in the BMS Industry
• Excellent organisational and commercial skills
• Knowledge of Trend systems
• Good understanding of electrical & mechanical systems
• Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation
• Experience of managing contract documentation
• Experience in managing customer expectations and opportunities
• A proactive attitude with pride displayed in your work
• A professional level of financial management
A candidate with a full driving licence and relevant qualifications such as SMSTS, PRINCE2 and trade related grades is preferred.
