Based Tyne & Wear
Salary up to £30000

Purpose and Objectives

Provide the enthusiasm and energy to ensure the business successfully fulfils its objectives and long term strategy. The key objectives of the role are to:

• Ensure the continuous training of employees on aspects of the QA systems that are relevant to their positions
• Ensure that quality procedures are documented, audited and maintained in all areas of the business
• Establish close working relationships with site teams, client, consultants and suppliers
• Provide accurate project reporting in line with company requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Building relationships with all members of the staff on a project
• Communicating with staff throughout the business and ensure they are fully aware of the quality procedures in place
• Evaluating the adequacy of quality assurance standards
• Reviewing the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
• Carrying out and documenting internal audits and other quality assurance activities
• Investigating customer complaints and non-conformance issues
• Analyzing data to identify any areas for improvement in the quality system
• Assuring ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
• Providing guidance to staff concerning quality assurance systems and procedures
• Contribute towards the on-going review of policy governing quality assurance systems and procedures
• Monitoring and logging non-conformances and corrective/preventive actions
• Checking compliance of supplier appraisal database
• Co-ordination of supplier evaluation
• Checking planned maintenance and calibration records are current
• Identifying areas for improvement
• Maintaining company training matrix and storage of training records
• Drafting inspection and test plans and quality plans
• Providing support for prequalification and tender activities
