We are looking to recruit support workers who are passionate and determined in making a difference in the lives of individuals living within a residential or community setting.

Person specification:

Preferably NVQ 2 or 3 in Social Care or willingness to work towards or relevant support work experience
Ideally Previous Support work experience or experience working within a community or residential setting
The ability to provide practical and emotional support to adults with learning disabilities
You will need to be confident with supporting clients with personal care, assisting clients in the community and be able to empower clients to be as independent as possible
As a support worker, it is essential that you have the enthusiasm, energy and drive to take a person-centred approach and support clients to reach their potential.
Good communication, having a flexible approach, being able to listen, come up new ideas and to support people to plan and to achieve their goals are all essential parts of the role
Ideally a full UK driver’s license however this is not essential.
Someone who is reliable and punctual and maintains their time management well.
The Role:

Support with all aspects of personal care when required, ensuring their dignity is respected at all times.
Supporting with Domestic care duties
Supporting with community inclusion and support to access activities within the community or work/ educational placement.
Providing Psychological and emotional support
Supporting clients to any medical appointments
Desired Skills and Training:

An up to date Moving and Handling certificate
Medication Administration
Person centred Care
