As the school Librarian and Resources Centre Manager you will be asked to manage the effective use and development of the Resource Centre in a way that enhances the learning opportunities for all students and encourages reading - fiction and non-fiction. To support sixth Form students completing EPQ on research techniques and the technical aspects of research writing.

Essential Skills

* Qualified Librarian
* Good level of education 5+ A*-C grades GCSE with English/Maths and Level 3 qualifications
* Experience of working in a Resource Centre/research environment
* Excellent ICT skills: Word, Excel, E-mail, Internet
* Excellent knowledge of SIMS or ability to learn
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Meet Deadlines
* Very Organised
* Make decisions
* Take initiative
* Very good interpersonal skills
* Work under pressure

Desirable Skills

* Experience of working in a school
* Experience of supporting Dissertation or extended writing qualifications
