Seeking an experienced Technical Quality Officer - Housing to work on a 36 hour per week contract role to start on the 17-07-17 until the 29-09-17 with a likely extension.
The role is within the Garages Team and involves Carrying out regular inspections to our garage stock across the borough to identify any necessary repairs and any infringements of the non-residential tenancy agreements. Initiating relevant enforcement action in cases of infringements of the agreement with for the client

Maintaining details of the stock condition of all garages and organizing repairs and/or major works as necessary.
Candidate should have surveying or similar qualification to HND level or equivalent relevant experience.
Knowledge of pertinent legislation, regulations and good practice in non-residential unit management, repairs and procurement.

Surveying or similar qualification to HND level or equivalent relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE:

 Knowledge of pertinent legislation, regulations and good practice in non-residential unit management, repairs and procurement.
EXPERIENCE:
 
Experience of managing non-residential units including garages, and experience of managing parking schemes in both the public and private sectors.  Experience to include void management, repairs and enforcement procedures.
Experience of managing budgets and financial control, including audit procedures.  Experience of using statistical information to monitor and manage performance
Experience of procuring and managing repairs contracts and supervising contractors
Experience of health and safety requirements and procedures
Experience of assessing stock condition and identifying repairs
Experience of drafting non-residential leases and tenancy agreements and enforcing the terms and conditions.
