The Organisation

We are currently recruiting for a mediation and resolution business in central London, looking for a Lead Adjudicator, a confident decision maker to oversee the work of the consumer dispute resolution panel of Officials that work with various types of review work for subscribing organisations in across several industries.

The organisation is looking for an enthusiastic individual but experienced to drive the customer service forward, solely focusing on consumer work providing high quality services to subscribing organisations and their customers.

The role is based in London and is a Lead Adjudicator position.

Key responsibilities:

* Organisation of, and leading at, regular meetings of the Panels of ADR Officials to share views and discuss best practice, chairing on behalf of the Principal Adjudicator as required.
* Conducting adjudication and arbitration work across the portfolio of consumer ADR services.
* Regularly reviewing decisions and awards of ADR Officials, both internal and external, prior to and after publication, to ensure consistency in structure, language, application of the law, approach to the evidence and the relevant scheme rules.

Key requirements

* Recognised legal qualification of at least law degree (LLB) standard.
* Qualification as either a barrister or solicitor would be desirable.
* Previous experience of decision-making and/or ADR processes would be desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience of working with multiple stakeholders with diverging interests.
* The ability to manage a large workload effectively and efficiently, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment with time pressures.
* A high degree of flexibility and a can do attitude.
