* Key tools and capabilities currently being supported by the team include: DOORS, Rhapsody, Rational Team Concert, Matlab Simulink, High Performance Computing
* Developing, delivering and maintaining guidance and training associated with the agreed tools under your portfolio.
* You will have responsibilities for supporting the Systems Engineering capability, tool upgrade planning and deployment activity.

* Periodically report tool support activity including identified risks, issues, opportunities and successes to the Tools Support Lead.
* Actively collaborate with and support other members of the Tools Support Team and members of the Project Support Team within the overall Systems Capability Support Group.

Requirements

* Demonstrable background in Systems Engineering, with an understanding of associated tools across the system development lifecycle dealing with: Requirements, Model-Based Architecture and Design, Verification and Validation (V&V) and Support.
* Ability to present technical information to technical audiences and engage in open discussion, as well as 'simplify' technical concepts for presentation to and engagement with not so technical audiences.
* Evidence of appropriate formal education and training associated with IT and Systems engineering tooling and capabilities, supplemented by self-learning.
* Demonstrable approach to personal professional development by keeping up to date in relevant technical areas, and the development of personal skills and capabilities to provide more effective service.
* Self-sufficient, motivated and proactive supporting individuals, projects and other functions, but comfortable to share and ask for help w hen needed.

The following desirable attributes would be very welcome, to either complement and/or mitigate deficiencies in essential attributes and experience:

* Knowledge and experience of 'other' tools associated with Product Development in areas other than Systems and Software Engineering that contribute to an overall collaborative Product Development toolset.
* Knowledge and experience of Product Line Engineering and associated methodology, approach and tooling aligned to ALM/CLM and PLM capabilities.
* Development and delivery of training to large groups in a formal structured Learning and Development environment and/or to small bespoke groups and individuals.
* Practical experience of deploying such tools on secure networks and the responsibility for appropriate licensing, user access and robust administration.
