Peter Smith is recruiting for an Equipment Engineer to join a company in the medical devices industry at their site based just near Oxford on a permanent basis.

In the UK this group is one of the leading suppliers of medical products to the NHS, providing many of the products which provide the foundations of effective healthcare. The organisation is dedicated to ensuring patient safety through the highest level of quality products. The ideal candidate will have a number of years experience working in equipment maintenance, along with an electronics background. The client is willing to offer a salary of£30-40k in return for this experience.

The main purpose of this Equipment Engineer will be to:
-Troubleshoot problems with plant and equipment
-Plan installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment
-Direct and plan all engineering in regards to compounding plant and equipment

Further responsibilities of this Equipment Engineer will include:
-Managing resources externally from OEM
-Reporting to EMEA Engineering Manager on a daily basis
-Carrying out daily briefings

In order to be considered for this Equipment Engineer role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
-Apprenticeship (& HNC or equivalent) in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is essential
-Considerable experience working practically as an Engineer with responsibility for maintenance of electrical, and mechancial equipment.
-Experience working to GMP, TPM, and FMEA.
