Head of Rewards & Workforce Analytics
A local authority in North East London is looking to recruit Head of Rewards & Workforce Analytics on a 6 month contract.
Purpose of the role:
To lead the co-ordination and provision of HR management information and intelligence, through the analysis and high level reporting of all HR related data using appropriate research, exploration and benchmarking techniques.
To support the development of Council wide reward strategies through workforce data analysis, drafting of reports and presentation to senior management bodies as well as appropriate stakeholders and all levels of management. Lead and manage modern reward projects
Key responsibilities include:
To critically review and interpret workforce information developing intelligence and recommendations which inform & assist the decision-making processes at a strategic level.
* Lead research of workforce data identifying both short and long-term trends. Benchmark the relative performance and position of the Council's HR policies through relevant external benchmarking, data and comparator information to enhance workforce intelligence reporting on a range of complex and contentious matters including the Council's employee reward initiatives.
* Identify appropriate HR workforce information requirements and needs by working directly with a range of senior key stakeholders, supporting and meeting customer expectations.
* To assess potential opportunities and/or implications for the Council of reward and other HR related initiatives. Review and research policies and thinking coming from government, agencies, employment legislation and other professional sources relating to people management and the organisation of the Council. Develop this thinking into appropriate communication formats to advise the Assistant Director of Finance, Business Support and Enablement, Management Team and Members on such matters.
* Based upon workforce data analysis, instigate, communicate and advise on the effect of the Council's major HR policy objectives, suggesting and advising alternative ways of working which may have substantial implications for the Council. This will involve the composition and drafting of written reports for senior executive consideration.
* Recommend changes and improvements to HR systems and information capture, storage and retrieval, to ensure best practice is demonstrated, and effectiveness of the department's internal resources maximised, and service objectives achieved.
* Develop, create and implement new and innovative practices and procedures to ensure work is carried out and delivered in the most effective and efficient manner.
* Develop management information dashboards for senior executives within the Authority.
* Participate in HR and cross-service project teams, leading any workforce information work stream and the collection and collation of data and information.
* Manage the communication and promotion of HR initiatives and workforce intelligence through the appropriate communication medium, produce and present written reports, presentations, briefings and toolkits tailored to the appropriate range of audiences including senior managers, members and employee groups.
* Identify developmental and operational issues or workload difficulties and liaise with customers and other HR teams to prioritise the work required, in a customer-focused manner.
* To work collaboratively with other functions and organisations to enhance the quality of strategic reporting through networking and project groups.
* To develop and progress the HR Management Information Strategy and systems toolkit to provide stronger business intelligence solutions.
