Our client a UK  wide care provider are currently seeking an experienced deputy care manager (RGN qualified) for their stunning home in Plymouth. The home is located in a quiet residential area in the leafy parish of Plymstock in Devon and is surrounded by tranquil gardens. 

The care home is a stone’s throw from Broadway Shopping Centre and the centre of Plymouth, with all the shops, restaurants and attractions this has to offer. The home cares for 62 residents with varying health and Nursing needs.

Their dedicated team provides a range of care and support for our residents, including residential care, dementia care, nursing care, palliative care and respite care.

As a Deputy Home manager you will have a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar setting, be a registered general Nurse and hold a valid NMC pin with no restrictions.This is a fantastic role for a Nurse who is looking to step in to the world of home management with a company who will continually support and assist in your growth as a Manager.  

You must have experience of managing a staff team of Nurses and care staff and liaising directly with outside professionals such as GP's, Physiotherapists and social workers. You will have proven experience of clinical audits, completion of Risk assessments and care plans and hands on experience of dealing with safeguarding.

Some of your duties will include but not be limited to :

• Prepare, agree and monitor residents' care plans
• Deliver care and support which would support the
• accomplishment of goals aimed at achieving independent living
• Attend meetings with health and social services staff
• Promote and monitor relationships with residents, relatives and visitors
• Communicate and establish standards of clinical practice
•  Promote clinical governance to meet best practices
•  Participate in the completion of quality and risk assessment
• Maintain and monitor standards in line with legislative

Alongside this you will have a good Knowledge of CQC legislation and requirements and a good knowledge of Dementia and palliative care.
