Your new company
Southampton City Council are looking for four drivers to carry out various loading and delivery duties around Southampton.

Your new role
As a driver, you will be delivering building materials from the depot at Nursling, out to various sites and council owned buildings across the city. You will be required to load the van late afternoon to be delivered the following morning, then to the depot about 8:30am to deliver until early afternoon. You will also be required to go and collect trade waste and dispose of it, once the delivery work is done. You will be driving wither 3.5 tonne panel vans, or a 3.5 tonne flatbed vehicle. There is some manual handling involved, such as lifting items like fire doors, van replenishment boxes, and will need to carry these a short distance or up to 3 floors up.

What you'll need to succeed
You must have the correct driving licence for driving the type of vehicles mentioned above (Category B). You must also have a positive attitude towards work, as well as a strong ability to work as part of a team.

What you'll get in return
In return you will get a competitive working rate, and may also be entitled to paid holiday. You will have guaranteed working hours every week, Monday-Friday, for the duration of your contract.
