Role: Design Coordinator & Assistant Design Coordinator - London – Residential
Location: North West London
Salary: Negotiable £35K– £65K plus Car Allowance, Pension, 25 days holiday

My client are a well know main contractor developer within the M25. They deliver high quality housing as both internal developments and as an external main contractor. Over the last 50 years they have delivered everything from new build high rise apartments to grade listed high end refurbishment in the London area. Typically project value go up to £80M.

An exciting opportunity just opened for a both an Assistant Design Coordinator and a Design Coordinator within the technical team based in North West London. They are looking to expand the team due to growth of the company and an increased pipeline of schemes. Highly regarded for the quality of their work and internal development of staff, it would be an ideal place for someone of 2 or more years’ experience to further their career.

The ideal candidate will be hands on, have a solid knowledge of all aspects of design, construction, development and procurement with the ability to use contemporary design program.

Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

• To provide detailed design information for the construction team, enabling projects to be completed within programme, budget and specification requirements.

• Attend any training identified in the LEAD training programme, the HS&E training matrix, your own CPD programme or other training required to fulfil your role

• To ensure good relationships with Clients, Consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.

• To obtain quotations from Consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate.

• To lead the design process and collation of design information.

• To actively research and advise upon alternative construction processes.

• To actively participate with the project team to the benefit of each project.

• To assist Estimators in preparing D&B submissions, as requested.

• Provide comment on ER's in tender.
