Residential support Workers should have the ability to get on with people all ages and backgrounds and the ability to build a relationship on trust. The way that you do this is by showing patience and understanding. Mental strength is a must as you must be able to cope with challenging situations (children can become aggressive) and able to adapt quickly to changes.

The children/young adults you will be looking after could have multiple needs and should be able to help them in any situation such as with personal care (please let us know if you are uncomfortable with this, as not all positions require this).

As part of your role you will be responsible for checking childrens/young adults needs, teaching them life skills such as budgeting, paying bills and shopping. You will also be responsible to provide engaging sessions in a safe environment and helping residents to become independent.

If you feel you have all the relevant skills and qualities then please apply to the position, please be aware that relevant qualifications and training such as Team Teach and First Aid will help you with your application. If you wish to gain more information on the position then please contact Adam on (Apply online only).
