This role is based at our Head Office but you will be required to do sites visits mainly in London and the Home Counties.

Our Head Office is easily accessed from the M25, M26 and M20 but is not serviced by main public transport links; personal transport is essential however this role is eligible for a Car Allowance.

Objective:
Working closely with the Commercial Manager you will be responsible for managing sub-contractor accounts, carrying out valuations, managing applications and invoices for payments and responding to queries from the Main Contractor and Sub Contractors. A significant part of the role will be to manage costs related to live projects, seeking to minimise costs, enhance value for money and achieve the required standards for quality.

Main Responsibilities:
You will cover all QS aspects of the projects and will be responsible for:
- Reporting on and forecasting costs, income and cash flow
- Managing sub-contractors accounts
- Submitting IPCs to sub-contractors
- Valuing change and assisting in producing variation process to the client
- Carrying out valuations and producing interim applications for payments which will include preliminaries, measured works, materials on and off site, loss and expense claims, variations and retention etc.
- Submitting invoices to the main contractor in relation to the valuation schedule in order to receive payment when due
- Provide notifications as valuation schedule to sub-contractors and obtain invoices for payment when due.
- Assist in financial reporting and CVRs

What you need to succeed:
- Have strong and applicable experience as a Fit Out Quantity Surveyor or will have a good understanding of how Fit Out works preferably on high-end high-value projects
- May have an MEP background and/or worked with sub-contractors
- May have BSC Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC or equivalent qualification in a construction related subject)
- Works well as part of a wider team, able to build collaborative and sustainable relationships across the company
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, along with excellent organisation and planning skills
- Subscribe to high standards and a strong work ethic
- Excellent analytical skills and conversant with good reporting methodology
- Excellent IT skills and fully conversant with MS Word/Excel. A knowledge of Sage/Construct would be useful but not essential

The successful candidate will be required to:
- Work under pressure and complete tasks within tight deadlines
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Hold a full valid driving licence
