This role is based at our Head Office but you will be required to do sites visits mainly in London and the Home Counties.

Our Head Office is easily accessed from the M25, M26 and M20 but is not serviced by main public transport links; personal transport is essential however this role is eligible for a Car Allowance.

Direct Reports: Project Managers
Indirect Reports: Site Supervisors, Sub-contractors, Site operatives

Role Objective:
To oversee and be overall responsible for the delivery of Fit out projects for Clients ensuring that projects of the highest standard are delivered to deadlines and budgets whilst maintaining health, safety & environmental standards. You will manage multiple projects end-to-end concurrently.

Main Responsibilities:
- Managing client expectations including at face-to-face meetings, providing early notification of potential delays/disruptions along with mitigation proposals.
- Negotiating sub-contract orders and monitoring sub-contractors, planning critical dates and organising labour, liaising with the supply chain.
- Responsible for agreeing extra work to be done on a contract, resolving disputes and identifying areas for improvement in the contracting process.
- Preparation of project documents including programmes, progress reports, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Construction Phase H&S plans/files.
- Calculating design and manufacturing lead in periods, including coordination and implementation of trades for project supply chain.
- Monitoring progress and potential delays including formal notification.
- Leading the design team on D&B projects to achieve efficient build processes and undertake value engineering where necessary.
- Management and control of significant H&S risks, during design and construction periods.
- Monitoring project expenditure in conjunction with the commercial manager; identifying future liabilities, accruals and assessing commercial decisions.
- Providing input into the tender process.
- Managing the performance of the delivery team (Project Managers, Site Supervisors etc).
- Staying up to date with all related legislation.

Education & Qualifications

- NVQ level 3
- SMSTS certified
- Black / Gold CSCS card
- IOSH / NEBOSH qualified
- Full competent with Word, Excel, report writing

- Use of last planner project look ahead system
- First Aider
- IPAF MEWPS For Managers
- Working toward or member of Chartered Institute
- Degree in construction related subject
- NVQ level 4 in project management

Experience & Knowledge:
- Proven track record of:
- Successful project management techniques and implementation
- Construction works and fit out procedures
- Site construction detailing
- Experience in the Fit Out sector and other trades including finishing and simplistic M&E co-ordination
- Experienced in managing man power on site and monitoring productivity
- Demonstrable capability in successfully running multiple projects, involving simultaneous management of multi trade packages, to first class quality standard and deadlines
- Detailed knowledge of H&S legislation and its implementation on site
- Experienced in monitoring costs and reporting weekly.
- Evidence of previous experience as project manager/client liaison/building manager/construction manager
- Understanding of the technical process required to achieve a high quality end result
