Avanti Travel Insurance are looking for a Marketing Assistant to cover Maternity Leave.

Your main responsibility is to:

  • Support Marketing Executive

  • Support Website Designer / Front End Developer

  • Contribute to the effective running of the marketing department

  • Liaise with extended stakeholders including agencies

Your responsibilities:

  • Project management of new and existing marketing campaigns including press, email, direct mail and other channels as required

  • Maintaining internal marketing database and running reports and analysis as required for agencies and campaigns

  • Social media management

  • Competitor analysis

  • Uploading content for blogs for multiple sites

  • Drafting creative content for approval where required

  • Assisting the Marketing Executive with ad hoc projects where required

  • Event management including company events, charity events and internal branding

  • Assist in delivering the marketing plan

  • Communicate marketing initiatives to staff

  • Attend internal/external training sessions as and when appropriate to increase skill set. To propose/commission external training when required

  • Act as an effective, professional ambassador for the company both internally and externally. Plus, to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of industry/training developments and initiatives.

  • Recognise the importance and benefits of effective team working, assisting colleagues and providing cover as and when required. This also includes respecting and motivating your colleagues in other departments who are responsible for supporting your activity - plus maintaining effective communication links with other departments, teams and individuals across the business.

  • Undertake special projects and tasks as and when required.

Skills & Knowledge:

Essential:

Must be confident in use of social media across all channels.

Experience with data entry/management.

Be able to demonstrate ability to plan, devise and execute campaigns across multiple mediums such as direct mail, email marketing and online activities.

Must have a pro-active approach, good understanding of marketing processes and have the desire to put forward creative ideas.

Comfortable using both PC / MAC

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word etc.)

Desirable but not essential:

Experience using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

We are ideally looking for a full time candidate to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with half an hour break for lunch but we would consider a part time candidate if they had the attributes that we are looking for.
