ROLE:

Reporting into the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis there will be regular and direct interaction with:

  • Divisional Finance Directors
  • Consolidation Team
  • Head of FP&A
  • Shared Service Centres
  • Group Finance Director
  • Director of Strategy & Business Planning
  • Director of Investor Relations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyse the Divisional results
  • Communicate segmental performance, risks, opportunities and initiatives to the board
  • Provide information to the Group Finance Director to enable decision making
  • Support the IMS, Interim and Year End messaging
  • Support the budget process
  • Design, test and implement developments to meet the changing needs of the business/Group

Internal Analysis:

  • Monitoring performance, risks, opportunities, initiatives and trends within the business
  • Responsible for writing the Divisional Flash report narratives that go to the Group Finance Director/CEO
  • Drafting relevant sections of the Finance Report
  • Communicating Group KPI’s, definitions and best practice

External messaging:

  • Provide analysis to support the Group’s messaging around strategy
  • Design, implement and maintain reporting to support messaging around overall strategy

Reporting:

  • Work with the Systems Accountant/IT teams to design, test and implement developments to meet the changing needs of the business/Group
  • Control the preparation of Month End and IMS packs
  • Improve understanding of Group standards and terminology across the operation
  • Develop/define operational performance measurements metrics

REQUIREMENTS:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Circa 3 years post qualification experience in a commercial environment
  • Strong IT skills - advanced user of Excel
  • Experience using SAP
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience working with Business Partners at various levels and track record of influencing decisions
  • Worked within a large scale international environment
