Our client is a diverse, well managed financial services business which has a board level team combined with over 150 years experience in the financial services industry. Our client is well placed to take advantage of market conditions during both economic upturns and downturns as its target market remains strong. Our client offer a wider range of financial products to clients who choose not to use or are unable to borrow from High Street lenders. Their products includes Personal Loans, Secured Loans and Hire Purchase. They aim to become the UK’s lending non-standard financial services lender.
Role Summary
The developer will be responsible for the development, operation and full life cycle of new proprietary technology.

The responsibilities of the developer are:

• Build robust and scalable software in .NET, HTML, CSS and Javascript (including node.JS)
• Design and create services and system architecture for your projects, and contribute and provide feedback to other team members.
• Help improve the code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to the technology, algorithms and products.
• Work with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic ad effective technical solution.
• Dive into difficult problems and successfully deliver results on schedule.
• Operate with the working principle that is created by you and is yours to own and run until it is mature enough to transition to traditional IT operations and service.
• Consciously review the code life cycle and critique positively to improve.
• Manage elements of the infrastructure underpinning your code and service.

Role Requirements

Essential

• Experience in using service and micro-service orientated architecture
• Experience in using REST and SOAP (including WCF) APIs.
• Experience in Microsoft operation systems.
• Experience in using Cloud computing platforms (Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure)
• Experience in trouble shooting acroos the entire stack (Presentation to infrastructure) as a service creator/ owner.
• Experience in building systems such as Docker, Jenkins and Rancher.

Desirable

• Experience using Database Schemas, data models and design patterns.
• Good education – 5 GCSE’s
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication, both Verbally and written.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Experience of managing competing priorities and stakeholders.
