Position - Expanding consultancy based in the City of London are seeking a Building Surveyor

Role - Both public and private sector - project management - project and professional matters

Person - Minimum 5 years' private consultancy experience - MRICS

An award-winning Property Consultancy based in EC, City of London are seeking a Building Surveyor to join their expanding team.

Working in both the public and private sector on both professional and project aspects of Building Surveying, this role is client facing and will suit an experienced Building Surveyor.

The Company

The Role

The new Building Surveyor will report to the head of commercial building surveying and join an expanding team of Surveyors located in a large open-plan, state of the art office. This is a role with a focused towards technical Building Surveying work as well as business development. As such this role is client facing and needs a Building Surveyor that can think on their feet to solve problems.

Your day-to-day will include but not be limited to;

  • Defect Diagnosis & Reporting
  • Preparing Specifications
  • Party Wall
  • Drawings and Design Work
  • Schedules of Dilapidations

The Successful Building Surveyor

This is a role ideal for a Building Surveyor whose career development may be capped. They will have:

  • Have 5+ years Private Practice/Consultancy Building Surveying experience
  • Have a MSc/BSc in Building Surveying
  • Have Experience in dealing with both Project and Professional Building Surveying matters
  • Have Experience in a Team Leader position (Preferred, not essential)
  • Be ready to help/mentor the team around you
  • Possess Strong communication skills
  • Be self-motivated, ambitious and organised
