Our client is recruiting on behalf of a popular, exclusive, high calibre boarding school based in Carmarthenshire. They are now looking for a Finance Manager to join their friendly team.

Your Role:

As the Finance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial activities for the college and its subsidiaries.

In this important role, you will:

- Lead the Accounting Team and create an environment that attracts, inspires and retains high quality people
- Provide financial advice and guidance to the Warden and Governors
- Make sure that the college operates in-line with best practice and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate costs with third parties
- Update, finalise and run payroll and employee payments on a monthly basis
- Present budget variance analysis and reports at Board meetings
- Ensure that transactions are processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Create and present the monthly management accounts
- Act as a Clerk to the Board of Governors

About You:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:

- Experience gained within a senior finance role
- Management experience
- An AAT qualification or proven experience of working at AAT level or above
- A degree (or equivalent) in accountancy
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
