Regional Sales Manager (Safety Products) Yeovil - £35-40k plus vehicle etc.
My client is an award winning and innovative manufacturer of safety products. They are looking to recruit a regional sales manager (Southern area) to act as an external ambassador for the companies safety products and services. The company is based near Yeovil however you can be based anywhere in your territory which will be south of Birmingham. In addition to the key task of promoting and selling the company’s products to the customer base the Regional Sales Manager is expected to provide excellent customer service at all times. It is also important that regular market feedback is provided to assist Production, Despatch, Purchasing and Accounts with up to date and relevant information. The Regional Sales Manager needs also to work closely with the Engineering dept in order that the most robust solutions and products are found for your market and with the Marketing dept providing customer insights in order to develop the product range in line with customer expectations. You will report into the UK National Sales Manager.
·Plan, manage and develop a sales territory working closely with identified Key Accounts and account customers to create potential new business
·Source, generate, develop and maintain sales in an assigned territory ensuring that sales budgets are met or exceeded
·Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to create Sales budgets and Targets, identify New products requirements and establish market needs
·Negotiate both as an individual at all levels and with a clear picture of the financial viability of the sale in today’s aggressive market, being aware of possible competitors and their sales prices and/or tactics
·Have close working relationship with Local Authority Transport Managers both in Education and Social Services
·Have an understanding of relevant industry standards and legislation.
·Provide customers with demonstrations and training, acting as a point of contact for the customer on warranty or any other user issues
·Have a good understanding of the current market place regarding production and ever changing manufacturing trends
The successful person MUST have:
·Proven Sales experience ideally in passenger tail lifts.
·Technical ability to assist customers to identify the correct product for their individual needs
·Excellent presentation skills including being fully confident in the use of Microsoft packages such
·Strong understanding of the trade and public sectors
·Be available for occasional evening and weekend engagements such as exhibitions and conferences
·Full, clean, UK driving licence
·Managerial abilities both of personnel and product
