Our well-established client based in Dagenham are currently looking to recruit a Field Project Manager.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Security Engineer, working and managing multiple security installations for all major disciplines.

You will need to be a highly organised, efficient and result-driven individual, open to new ideas and managing challenging situations.

Purpose of Field Project Manager Position

The role of the Field Project Manager is to support the Project Managers to control installations with a more hands-on approach, where the Project Manager is located in the office. They are responsible along with the Project Manager to ensure that the installation of each job is completed on time and within budget, by managing the day to day running of Install Engineers within the allocated postcode areas.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:


Resource planning with Project Managers
Requesting equipment for planned jobs
Checking and confirming equipment along with all paperwork is ready for installation
Pre-start site visits/quote reviews
Identifying Quote Issues


1st Point of contact regarding installation queries (Time Mgt and Equipment)
Installation progress reviews and escalation of issues to Project Manager
On-site visits and spot checks
1st Line support for technical issues
Resource management additional/less resource required (Engineer Productivity)
Pre-start meetings
Engineer and Job Productivity (Site reviews)
Management of the works within the field
Time management until full completion multiple installations responsible for
Monitoring Engineer Productivity
H&S Audits

Post Installation

NSI Site Audits
Engineer (In-house & External) installation Audits
Site Training (where applicable)


Engineer Welfare - (Holidays, Sickness, Training Requirements)
Ensuring works are completed within the required timescale
Identify issues with quotation and highlighting issues with Project Managers
Overtime Authorisation (in agreement with Project Management)
Timesheet Authorisation
Communication of following weeks plan and any changes
Vehicle Audits and Checks


Ad-hoc installation works (when approved by Project Manager or Programme Manager)
To ensure that all Install Engineers have an organised daily workload and that they perform to the high standard expected by all customers
To ensure the delivery of a high standard of service by all engineers in their team
Uphold our client's and company procedures
Required to hold CSCS cards, Asbestos awareness certificates, and current IPAF & PASMA certificates & may be requested to attend trade contractors Supervisor courses
Customer Liaison and Managing Customer Expectations
