Nursery Manager - £32,000-£36,000 Per annum - Hanwell

Main Duties and responsibilities:

  • To lead and manage high quality practice in the nursery working with the Director of Early Years
  • To deliver the operating revenue and cost budget of the nursery on monthly, quarterly and annual basis, working with the Commercial team
  • To manage the day to day operations of the nursery, including outstanding service delivery towards children, staff, parents and other stakeholders

Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive and deliver the highest standards of care throughout the nursery as detailed in the EYFS, company EY audit and OFSTED inspection schedule
  • • Implement safe recruitment procedures to ensure the ongoing safety of children in the nursery. This applies to both permanent and agency staff and includes full DBS checks
  • Manage effective key person systems to promote children’s emotional wellbeing and develop secure attachments
  • Accountable for the team in the planning and development of inspiring and creative environments for children and babies
  • Plan, attend and lead informative parents evenings, staff meetings, fund raising events and multi-disciplinary meetings as necessary
  • Lead the team in ensuring Safeguarding Children procedures are followed and you know what to do in the event of an allegation being made

Professional and Personal Development:

  • Ensure high standards of professional expertise through continuing professional development
  • • Update knowledge of legislation as changes occur and disseminate as appropriate to benefit the nursery and the organisation

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in childcare, University Degree desirable
  • Desirable EYP/YET
  • Deep understanding of EYFS and regulatory framework
  • Previous similar experience essential
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic finance skills
