Experience Analyst - Reinsurance Market
An International Reinsurance Group based in the City of London seeks a graduate (mathematical or related) with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access (or other database) some VBA or similar programming knowledge and has related analytical experience within an Actuarial/Insurance environment.
This is a non actuarial role in an actuarial environment, a person who has taken actuarial exams and does not want to pursue the Actuarial exam route would also be considered.
The company seeks a person who is keen to build and develop a role within the team and become a subject expert in large data sets.
The role will be delivering analysis of client experience for the purposes of quotes, basis development work & valuation assumption setting. Maintaining and developing the experience analysis tools. Planning and carrying out systems development to ensure efficiency of processes. Engaging with clients to maximise the value of the inforce portfolio The Biometrics and Inforce Management department has the following main responsibilities: Carrying out and checking experience analyses across a range of products (life assurance, critical illness, income protection and longevity). Ensuring client and internal policy data is used effectively to enable and perform efficient experience analysis. Ensuring results of investigations are fed back to relevant stakeholders. Using results to help improve our terms of trade and quote pricing as well as feeding into valuation assumptions Improving processes and tools (spreadsheets, VBA programs, databases and SQL server) used for experience analysis Analysing other data as needed (for example application form data to support the development of underwriting rules or for determining new rating factors) Liaising with other departments (for example with internal customers to ensure the right balance is achieved between the speed of delivery and scope of work required). Participating in cross team projects
