An opportunity has arisen to work with bleeding edge technology, including ASP.NET CORE, whilst progressing into a full-stack lead engineer for an organisation who are modernising the way their sector operates.

Starting as a Senior Engineer, the role will grow into a Lead position with responsibility for directing a 10-strong development team, with further progression into a Development Manager position for the right applicant, all whilst gaining exposure to the latest technologies and cloud services. The function of the engineering team itself is to modernise the way public sector organisations operate, which has seen their SaaS offering rolled out to over 70% of local councils across the UK.

The perfect engineer for this position is one who has clear demonstrable experience of working across the stack and has a real desire to work with the latest technologies. As somebody who has a lot of influence on the engineering function, it is expected that the right applicant will have a real appreciation for best engineering practices.

The role offers unrivalled progression in the sense that there are two routes to go down: the first route is into a Lead Engineer with a view to gaining the relevant skills to step up into a Development Manager in the next couple of years. For those that wish to stay "closer to the stack", there is the opportunity to get exposure to architecting principles and focus in more on architecture as time goes by.
