Hours: Full time and various part time hours available.
Location: Peterborough
Contract type: Permanent
Salary: £15,600 per annum (pro rata) - £8.00 per hour

About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic and patient Support Workers to join our team and work between the hours of 7am and 10pm (including weekends and bank holidays). The roles are based at the CQC rated ‘Good’ Redgate Court in Parnwell, Peterborough. Here we support six deafblind individuals aged between 30 and 61 years old.

The hours we have available are; full time 37.5 hours per week and part time, between 7.5 and 17.5 hours per week.

As a Support Worker, you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Your dedicated support and encouragement will assist individuals to run their own lives as much as possible - helping with personal care, supporting someone to rustle up some breakfast or visit a local café.

Sense also supports people to take part in some of our amazing arts and wellbeing activities - from dance to music making, swimming to rock climbing.

About us
Sense is a national charity that supports people who are deafblind, those with sensory impairments and those with complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives.
Sense has a proven record of offering high quality, pioneering services.

In addition we have excellent training and development, the opportunity for you to join our Group Personal Pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement.

About you
Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people’s lives.

It involves completing an online application form and taking part in a value based interview/assessment process.

Closing date: Tuesday 25 July 2017
Interview date: To be confirmed
